The pace of change due to digital technologies is increasing. Organisations who don’t embrace service and policy innovation will become irrelevant and risk being edged-out by digital disruptors. Digital innovation represents a whole new way of thinking and working and a significant shift to organisational culture, strategy and process. Organisations need their own digital disruptors inside the organisation who understand the technology, how to implement it and how to bring the rest of the organisation on the journey.

This program provides participants with an overview of the new ways of thinking and working that digital represents and give them the working tools to be digital leaders. The workshop covers keys tools and concepts such as design thinking, strategic foresight and divergent innovation. Participants will walk away armed with fundamental knowledge, tools and hands-on experience to form a vision, identify opportunities, guide innovation and ultimately lead digital disruption within their organisation.

1. Guiding the chaos: Disrupt yourself or be disrupted

You’ve heard it before, now is the time to learn how to disrupt yourself. In doing so you’ll be able to guide the inevitable disruption rather than having it done to you.

2. Using strategic foresight to define your vision

Understand how strategic foresight can be used to lead collaborative exploration of possible futures and agree on a shared vision for the future you’ll work towards together.

Walk away with a tailored plan for how you will generate a shared vision for your initiative.

3. Design Thinking and you

An overview of how you can apply Design Thinking to achieving your vision

4. Divergent innovation in action

Experience a hands-on workshop format for exploring innovative solutions to achieve your vision.

Use this workshop format back in the workplace to help guide others and bring them on the journey.

5. Expanding your influence

Understand the 4 components of influence and how you can use them to expand your sphere of influence over time and win over difficult personalities.

Andrew is a speaker, facilitator and coach specialising in digital transformation and leadership development. In his spare time Andrew hosts the Alpha Geek Podcast in which he speaks with great technical leaders from around the country, deconstructing their challenges, triumphs and leadership insights.
